We shared the school cafeteria with a pack of Webelos. At one end of the room, the boys were quietly doing arts and crafts; making paper bag puppets for their Showmanship badge.

At the other, the Daisies were investigating the contents of my worm compost bin as part of their Flower Garden Journey. The girls excitedly examined, with their bare hands, the rotting kitchen scraps and newspaper, looking for worms and worm eggs. A few girls allowed the worms to wiggle on their arms and faces.
