volunteering

Tomorrow is my first Girl Scout meeting as a leader. I've put in many hours preparing for the meeting. I'm looking forward to meeting and working with all 14 girls.

I really like my co-leader. She's been a great help getting us set up. I think we will work well together.

I'm really excited and hope all goes well.

What I have been frustrated about, though, is the apparent disorganization of the Council. Yes, there is help, but only if I ask for it. It would have been better if I was handed a New Leader packet with all the info to get started. I just hope our Troop parents are not too frustrated with the delay.

I just remind myself that it's all about the girls.
